Glencoe Baptist Church
Bible Study
2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." The Bible is the only source of divine authority, and it God's revelation to us. By studying God's Word, we become aware of God's purpose for man and His will and desires for our lives. The Bible teaches us what we need to know about the Lord and His creation. It provides instruction and guidance as we strive to lead godly lives. These are just some of the reasons that Bible study is important to the people at Glencoe. You'll find a list of the current opportunities to dive deeper into God's Word below.

Preaching & Teaching

The preaching of the Word is at the core of the church and is an integral part of the life of the believer. At Glencoe, you'll experience exegetical preaching and teaching of the Bible, meaning that a passage of Scripture is taught verse-by-verse. The exegetical style of preaching allows listeners to come to a comprehensive understanding of the text in order to better apply it to their lives and grow deeper in their relationship with God. Worship services are held on Sundays at 10:55am and Wednesdays at 7pm. You can also find sermon recordings here on our website.

Bible Fellowship Groups

Bible Fellowship Groups enable people to fellowship and study God's Word. BFG encourages outreach and strengthens participation in the body of Christ. All Bible Fellowship Groups meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30 until 10:45. We currently offer three adult groups and a children's BFG.

All of our adult classes are currently participating in the same study, Don't Waste Your Life by John Piper.
